Being that this maybe one of the last Episodes, I wanted to do something special. So, I asked a good friend by the name of Christian Majcen to join in. We talked about what we could do and decided to take the meaning of paradox and apply it to What Happen to the Mixtape ?? ?

Episode 8 OUT of the BOX

As the last Podcast was recorded at a live session back in November 2009. I thought, it would be great to take this Podcast back to the original ideas of the What Happen To The Mixtape. I sat down and tried to create an atmosphere as I did in the first few Podcasts.
In this Podcast, I used self made re-edits and remixes. Plus, plenty of FX's , layered tracks, loops, and samples to try and create a story.. .

Episode 7 The Shadows of Zero

Episode 6 Become Mechanical -(Access Memory)

Every month has plenty of known as well as unknown anniversaries. In the month of November, We saw the Berlin Wall fall. We heard about the Soviet Union launching the Sputnik 2. Which on board was a dog named Laika, who became the first animal to enter orbit. We learned about Nasa Launching the Apollo 4 as well as the Mariner 10. Sesame Street also had it's debut in this month. Actually this list could go on and on.. .

So, I thought it would be a good idea and take a step back and see where I came from. This is a mix I did a few years ago and thought I could share part of it with you.

Episode 5 If a Myth was True.. . The Halloween Special!! !

The Jack o' lantern or better know as the pumpkin is widely associated with Halloween but How and Why?

There is no really documentation other then it being harvest time and keeping the evil spirits away.

Although, urban Myth says; That a shrewd drunk farmer named Jack was a deceiver and the dregs of society. One cold, rainy Autumn night the Devil overheard this tale of Jack and his evil deeds. The Devil was unconvinced of the rumors and set to find out whether or not Jack lived up to his reputation. Jack, drunk and full as normal was found wondering in the country side. The Devil came to collect his soul! Jack made a last request, he asked the Devil to let him drink ale before he departed to hell. The Devil finding no reason not to accept the request and took Jack to the local pub and supplied him with many drinks of alcoholic beverages. Upon quenching his thirst Jack asked the Devil to pay the tab and the Devil agreed. With that he metamorphosed into a silver coin. Jack stuck the now transformed Devil(coin) into his pocket, which also contained a crucifix. The Devil, unable to escape his form (as he was bound by the crucifix) agreed to the demand of Jack and spared his soul for ten years in exchange for his freedom.

Exactly ten years passed to the date and Jack found himself in the presence of the Devil once again. Jack knew what he was there for and asked; "before I go to hell I would like to eat an apple." The Devil agreed and climbed the nearest apple tree. As soon as the Devil got the apple he noticed that Jack surrounded the tree with crucifixes. The Devil, frustrated at the fact that he had been entrapped again, ordered for his release. Jack demanded that his soul never be taken by the Devil into Hell, the Devil agreed and was set free. Due to Jack's drinking and unstable lifestyle, Jack was on his death bed the following year. The Devil came to him fulfilling his obligation and damned Jack to roam the world between the planes of good and evil with only a hollowed out Pumpkin to light his way for eternity.

Some say he can be seen and heard around the Halloween. You may hear him haunting this mix!! !

Episode 4 A step to the side to move another way.. .

This time I thought about changing the side of the fence. With the ending of the summer, I thought about what makes people in a good mood or even happy? That is the thing, if we would only stop trying to be happy we could start to have a good time.. .

Episode 3 From R.S.I.. .

R.S.I stands for Remote Science Instrumentation which enables the collection of Mars data from orbit such as the Mars Odyssey Orbiter and NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Both continue to explore the red planet remotely and have returned some vital martian data. So, After reading some things about the missions to Mars, I thought it would be all right to stay with a futuristic-space theme. As in the last mix I added some personal loops and sound textures.

Episode 2 Within time!

Monday the 20th of July, marked the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo Lunar landing. Also this week, the solar eclipse of 22 July 2009 was the longest total solar eclipse during the 21st century. In order to Commemorate these awesome events as well as support any future endeavors in science, space and technology this mix was created. Unlike the last mix, I decided to do some exploring myself. I included some radio transmissions from the Apollo 11 mission as well as some personal loops and sound textures that I created. While this mix evolves, you'll find your engines ignite!

Welcome to the first Episode of; What happen to the Mixtape?! This session is a mix that I did to bring in the first day of Summer. In this mix you'll find different types of work strung together like a puzzle. As it progresses, you find yourself not in the garden anymore but don't worry you'll be back before you know it.
